Luke Barber

"I loved toy trucks and trains as a kid. Now, as an adult, it makes me so happy to be able to create the kind of toys I remember spending hours with, for the next generation.

To partner with my dad, Jim and make toys with sustainable materials right here in our American toy factory is even better!

Our toys truly embody 'from our family to yours' - something we are incredibly proud of."

Our Story

As a kid, Luke Barber couldn't get enough of trucks, cars, trains... anything with wheels. That passion has never left, so it made sense that he would learn to design toys and bring them to life. Most importantly, Luke wanted his toys to be made here in the U.S. with sustainable, locally sourced materials. And they are!

Luke's Toy Factory is a family owned and operated toy company startup founded by two father/son teams - the Barber family and the Achiron family. Luke Barber designs all the toys. Jim, Luke's dad is our Managing Partner and plastics expert. Mitch and his son, Evan are responsible for our branding, packaging, and marketing.

We assemble, package, and ship all of our toys from our facility in Danbury, Connecticut. All of our suppliers are American, ensuring the highest quality and safety of our products.

What makes our toys different from all the others?

Luke designs toys with a simple, old school wooden style. These are toys that look like they could have been hand crafted by a skilled wood worker, designed like a real truck. But our toys are made using state of the art manufacturing processes and materials, right here in the USA.

Everything we use to make our preschool toys - every sourced material, every tool and every supplier we use is American.

Our sustainable toys are fun to play with and are educationalThink of a 3D puzzle that becomes a truck when assembled. Designed for small hands, the toys are made with a bit of wiggle room, so that kids with developing motor skills are not frustrated. Our target age is 3 and up - just at the point where kids are outgrowing "baby toys" but aren't quite ready for the precision required for more complicated building toys.

The preschool years are a critical period of early childhood development when kids are just learning problem solving, fine motor, and creative play skills. Our 3D stacking puzzle trucks are the perfect way to help the child in your life learn and grow!

Parts from one truck can be mixed and matched with parts from the other three trucks.

Each truck is about 6 1/2 inches long. The Fire Truck has 5 parts, the Dump Truck and the Tipper Truck each have 4 parts.

The Cargo Truck has 9 parts (because of all the cargo boxes!)

We've taken out 30% of the plastic

...and replaced it with organic materials - Maple sawdust, Walnut shells, Flax fibers and more, from U.S. sources. This is combined with safe, certified clean plastic pellets to make our toys. The organic material that goes into the toy varies, so some colors will vary slightly from the images.

Colors are molded in, not painted on.

So there's nothing to flake off.

No BPA or Phthalates

...are in our toys. Our toys meet or exceed all USA safety standards. The plastic used in our toys is Polypropylene, one of the safest plastics in existence. Our goal is to balance eco-friendly materials with safety and sustainability, while making toys that are affordable, educational, and fun.
