FAQs

Preschool aged kids are at a critical stage in early childhood development. At two and three years old children are rapidly developing fine-motor, problem solving, and creative play skills. Luke’s Toy Factory makes 3D puzzle truck toys that are designed to be an educational toy for preschoolers that rewards the child with a working truck toy once assembled. These stem toys are designed for little hands with a little bit of wiggle room so that children are not frustrated when assembling their toy truck!

Parts from each truck are interchangeable with others, promoting creative play and increasing play value.

These educational preschool classroom toys are also terrific learning tools for children with learning disabilities, including autism and ADHD. The sustainable material which incorporates 30% maple sawdust creates a woodlike tactile feel, and the colors are somewhat muted so that they do not overstimulate kids with disabilities. Use the toy trucks to teach concepts like colors, shapes, and sharing!

Yes! These are absolutely outdoor toys as much as they are indoor toys. They are safe for outdoor play and are water safe. Play in the backyard, in the sandbox, at the beach, next to the pool, or in the bath - These are excellent outdoor preschool toys!

They are also washable toys - sink washable in warm water with ordinary dish soap. You can also use a mild bleach solution ( 1 cup/gallon of water ) Rinse thoroughly. We do not recommend putting them in the dishwasher, because the heat cycle may warp the shapes.

Yes! Our toys are tested by a U.S. based independent testing lab. They meet or exceed the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) standards and the American Society for Testing and Materials requirements (ASTM-F963) for the US and Canada. They also have passed the rigorous EN-71 testing for the EU markets, as well as Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

We carefully monitor production during injection molding and each toy is examined one by one as it is made. In addition to designing the toys, Luke is in charge of assembling the wheels to the axles and checking the final product. Here at Luke's Toy Factory, we are very careful to make the best product we can, because safety is one of the reasons we started the company in the first place.

Our sustainable toys are made out of an innovative material called Wood Plastic Composite (WPC). The material combines sawdust or other organic material like flax, rice hulls or coconut shells, with safe, certified plastic. The result is a product which is more substantial, durable and wood-like than 100% plastic toys. In fact, WPC is so durable that it is now commonly used in backyard decks and outdoor construction, with the look and feel of real lumber. The bottom line is we are replacing 30% of the plastic with organic fillers. The plastic we use is Polypropylene, which is one of the safest plastics in existence. The wood fiber is mixed in with the plastic, so that when the part is finished, the outer surface is the plastic, with the wood fiber inside. This makes these waterproof and washable toys!

The organic materials we use are recovered from U.S. manufacturers. Instead of being incinerated and contributing to CO2 emissions, we're giving them new life in our toys!

Our packaging is made using 100% recycled paperboard and 100% recyclable cardboard.

Yes! Our toys are 100% made in America. We manufacture, assemble, and ship from Danbury, Connecticut!

88% of the world's toys are made in China where myriad safety issues have plagued multiple industries, including the Toy Industry.

We set out to create a better toy. A fun toy. A safe toy… A made in America toy. The only way to ensure safety is to use the highest quality materials available, and manufacture them in the USA, where production is monitored and tested every step of the way. Because of that, we know the material content of our products down to the smallest detail. The end results are toys that exceed industry safety standards.

By manufacturing locally in the United States, it means that we are able to ship our toys to you quickly!
